I recently had passed to me by a local in my village a 1914 compass in case. Marked 140 AT Coy RE. Believe this refers to 140 Army Trop Coy RE. Anybody able to tell me details of locations, divisions attached to battlefronts or anything about what an army troop coy would be doing 1914-18?

Thanks

Doc

Doc,

Don't appear to have served in France as they're not in the Order of Battle for 1918. The 139th A.T. Coy,R.E. is also missing from the ORBAT. So it's got to be Italy, Salonica or the Middle East. Anyone got the ORBATS for those theatres??

Graham.
