Goodnight,

So I inaugurate that new section (hope it's the right one for this post)!

Here is the first one of some ww1 artefacts I can't identify. Could somebody help me ? I think it is part of an automatic pistol but the piece don't match it seems.

Regards,

Nicolas

I am no expert!

My ID is based on the fact that the barrel is right and the raise piece at the end is the toggle mount. Remember you have to look at it in the simplest broken down form.

If memory serves me correctly, the barrel of a P08 doesn't seperate from it's main housing. Also, most SLP barrels tend to be shorter and positioned in front of the breach. The occasional one can be found where the barrel encompasses the breach, but these tend to have a slot on two sides (one to allow the entry of the round from the magazine, and the other to allow the ejection of the spent cartridge).

Someone's probably likely to prove me wrong here, but I don't think it's part of an SLP at all.

Dave.
