Army Boxing

Morning Chums,

I have a reference to a welterweight (?) boxer who was quite succesful apparently at army level.

He was a bombardier in the RGA and his name is believed to be Voisey or similar.

Does any chum follow this interest and may have better detail than my source provides.

I cannot identify him from MIC's etc as my source info may not be very accurate.

Just to close this out.

Gunner Robert (?) Voysey won the middleweight competition at the National Sporting Club on Monday the 24th January 1916, " a few days before we sailed for East Africa".

Many thanks to the proprieter of the site linked above.
