KONDOA Posted 9 October , 2005 Share Posted 9 October , 2005 Morning Chums, I have a reference to a welterweight (?) boxer who was quite succesful apparently at army level. He was a bombardier in the RGA and his name is believed to be Voisey or similar. Does any chum follow this interest and may have better detail than my source provides. I cannot identify him from MIC's etc as my source info may not be very accurate. Roop
Jim Strawbridge Posted 10 October , 2005 Share Posted 10 October , 2005 If it's Boysey he's moved to Shropshire. But don't tell the Driscolls.

KONDOA Posted 4 July , 2007 Author Share Posted 4 July , 2007 Just to close this out. Gunner Robert (?) Voysey won the middleweight competition at the National Sporting Club on Monday the 24th January 1916, " a few days before we sailed for East Africa". Many thanks to the proprieter of the site linked above. Roop
