Christine, Ada Gilbert Hawken was the matron of the Bay of Islands Hospital, Kawakawa. I have a note that when she died of enteric a public subscription limited to one shilling enabled a memorial plaque to be erected at the Bay of Islands Hospital. I am hoping that both the hospital and the plaque are still there.

Genehunter, Thats great news. These are the ones that I need.

Agnes McDougall, Canadian Army Medical Corps, died 18/7/19, buried Aylmer Cemetery.

I am not expecting you to find her there but Kathleen E. Symmes, US Army Nurse came from Aylmer (died October 1918) but her last resting place is unknown. I only mention it in case the Aylmer Cemetery authorities have a search index.

Gertrude Donaldson, Canadian Army Medical Corps, died 29/7/19 and is buried in Hensall Union Cemetery.

Mary Geraldine McGinnis, Canadian Army Medical Corps, died 10/2/20 and is buried in Listowel (Fairview) Cemetery, plot 27, Sec. B. 1.

Nellie Grace Rogers, Canadian Army Medical Corps, died 19/10/18 and is buried in Listowel (Fairview) Cemetery, plot 5, range 10. (just may be buried with her mother Adelia who is known to be buried in the same cemetery).

Caroline Graham Green, Canadian Army Medical Corps, died 4/4/22 and is buried in St. Thomas Cemetery (not a CWGC headstone)

Elsie Gertrude Ross, Canadian Army Medical Corps, died 26/2/16 and is buried in Stratford (Avondale) Cemetery, Sec. 5, Lot 60.

Jim what are the ones you want in Penarth ? (South Glam)

The name of Emily Ada Pickford, YMCA is said to be on the memorial in Alexandra Park, Penarth amongst “the Men of Penarth who died for their country in the Great War”.
