A super find (Almost) !!

Recommended Posts

I have recently acquired the Memorial Scroll and Plaque, Origninal Commission, Photo Album (some great snaps) of 2nd Lieut William Augustus Barnett RFC who died of wounds received in 1917. Also the original Commission scrolls of his Grandfather Captain Charles Barnett of the 56th Regiment "The Pompadours". He made it through the ranks starting off in 1838 then through Sandhurst as a Gentleman Cadet through to Captain in 1868. Along with the medals was his calling card, sword and two prize cups which he won respectively for the Officers race, respectively 100 yards and 300 yards. Alas no medals ,Guys now that would be a family group and a half !

By the way if you have their medals youve got a friend
