Guest AndyW Posted 18 March , 2008 Share Posted 18 March , 2008 South African servicemans 'Personal Record Book' Will include a couple of pages of this interesting document, which is written in both English & Afrikaans. I'd be very interested to see the medical pages from this document.

SFayers Posted 24 December , 2009 Share Posted 24 December , 2009 Somehow I managed to miss this thread previously. I hope my next few posts will be of interest; they show scans of the contents of my late step-mum's dad's discharge documents. As well as his and his brother's medals I also have his collection of photos (stored in a hand-made wallet made from a trench cape!) - but I would guess his documents are of more relevance here. First off is the envelope in which all the documents are enclosed - Army Form Z.53. Kind regards Steve
SFayers Posted 24 December , 2009 Share Posted 24 December , 2009 His unit register card (front) - A.G.Z.500 I should add, the chap in question is Rifleman 49149 Robert George Andrews, 3rd Battalion, Rifle Brigade; later 64767 25th and 16th Battalions, KRRC.
