bmac Posted 27 September , 2005 Share Posted 27 September , 2005 As the parent site shows this battalion were part of the 99th Brigade. The Brigade was transferred to the 2nd Division from the 33rd Division on 25 November 1915. The parent site gives details of 2nd Division's activities: http://www.1914-1918.net/2div.htm 'The Royal Fusiliers in the Great War' does not record what the 23rd RF were doing in May 1917. In February they were involved at Boom Ravine and Irles and in April in the Battle of Arras. There are twelve + pages of references to the villages mentioned in 'The Royal Fusiliers in the Great War'. A few too many for me to deal with right now. Anything a bit more specific?
