post-8137-1127703219.jpgI found an intriguing photo amongst an elderly Uncles albums that was taken on 19 May 1919 at the funeral of a Sgt S R Stewart. The funeral took place at Old Cairo in Egypt.

I have since established that he was in The Royal Army Medical Corps 31st General Hospital Unit of the Royal Irish Regiment. His profession was 'Chemist' and he was 37 years of age when killed.

His parents were John & Mary Stewart, of Hamilton, Lanarkshire, UK.

I would be happy to email a copy of this picture to a descendant, friend etc.
