Bert Heyvaert Posted 16 September , 2005 Share Posted 16 September , 2005 Hi all, I am contemplating on doing a major project after New year. I want to go down to Germany, more specifically to Württemberg, and digitally photograph all the archival information (war diaries etc.) from the Württemberger units who served on the Ypres front in 1916. Apparently this material survived the second world war, or so I heard, and should be in a fairly good state. Now I wondered if any pals have been down there and know exactly where I can find this archival information (which archive stores them) and if the material is ok to work with. regards, Bert
Ralph J. Whitehead Posted 16 September , 2005 Share Posted 16 September , 2005 You should send Jack Sheldon a message. He has done extensive work in many of the archives including this one and could give you a clear idea of what to expect, etc. Good luck in your search. AOK4 Posted 16 September , 2005 Share Posted 16 September , 2005 I've been there... Do you know what you want to do? There are thousands of pages of information in Stuttgart from that period...
