Hi

I have been offered a 1st July MM to a non-casualty, std line regt soldier but this is my first foray into 'proper' medal buying...

Can someone offer me a quick idea of how much I should offer?

Marc,

Depends on what line Regiment it is and whether it has the Citation with it for provinence.

I would reckon around the £350-450 mark based on what you have said.

But it depends how much you want it and if you have deep enough pockets!!

Hello

Might also be worth a check that its the Somme that the unit was on - not everybody got involved - the Cold Gds didnt really get stuck into the Somme campaign till September. July for them was quite a quiet month in fact.
