Guest Testerchild Posted 22 July , 2003 Share Posted 22 July , 2003 Hi all, In researching army officers who transfered to 20 Squadron RFC, I have come across a lot of abbreviations - most of which I know, but there are some I don't know: 1. IARO 2. DCLI 3. KSLI 4. Duke of W.Reg't (Is that Duke of Wellington?) 5. Another Regiment, given the poor hand-writing, appears to read: "Hauls Garrison Battalion". Any ideas please, all welcome. Guest Testerchild Posted 22 July , 2003 Share Posted 22 July , 2003 Terry and Heritage, I'm amazed: the replies come quicker than I could look up the answers in an appropriate book - if I had one! Thanks ever so much, makes my research much easier. Bob
