Muerrisch Posted 21 July , 2003 Share Posted 21 July , 2003 This old fool asked if anyone had 40th Div history, but misread reference. Correct one is 42nd. Photo desired is of area Red Dragon Crater near Givenchy, in the snow. [Thinks ...... if I keep making mistakes and owning up to them, I shall be a field officer in no time ........] But it fails to compensate for the embarrassment, if that's how you spell it. I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.
MartinWills Posted 21 July , 2003 Share Posted 21 July , 2003 Do you mean the aerial photo?
Kate Wills Posted 22 July , 2003 Share Posted 22 July , 2003 Just bringing this to the top of the grid, as some old fool had put his specs on the wrong way (sorry LB!!)
Muerrisch Posted 22 July , 2003 Author Share Posted 22 July , 2003 Old fool calling. In asking for photo from 42nd history, I am attempting to follow up a reference to Red Dragon Crater, so the proferred aerial shot, for which I am most grateful, might well be the one .... certainly the title gives rise to hope. But I am not too brilliant at photo interpretation [well, wouldn't be with glasses upside down], so, three further requests ....... could I have copy of relevant text, and perhaps date photo, and Is it possible to have a better quality rendering of photo? If you don't ask, you don't get, so, many thanks.
Paul Reed Posted 22 July , 2003 Share Posted 22 July , 2003 I'll check this history to see if there is another photo of the crater in there.
