Remembered Today:

32nd Division.

Does anyone know the details of a book of the History of the 32nd Division? I am assuming that there will be one. A distant relative recently asked me to check out his grandfather who turned out to be in the 168th Brigade, RFA. By coincidence this unit contained Holmfirth's local battery so I would like to try and get a more detailed idea of their movements. And find out if the brigade left the division at some point etc.

Thanks,

Tony.

Sorry Tony, and I know what it feels like, speaking as someone interested in 26th Division.

The ones that were accorded a history are:

New Army - 9th, 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 23rd, 25th, 30th, 33rd, 34th, 35th, 36th, 38th, 40th, 63rd (Royal Naval).

Territorial - 42nd, 46th, 47th, 49th, 50th, 51st, 52nd, 53rd, 55th, 56th, 59th, 60th, 62nd, 74th.

There is a history of the Trench Mortar units in the 32nd Division, though, and it has recently been reprinted by Naval & Military Press.
