Can any one give me any idea's where I may find out about the activities of the Lancashire Hussars during WW1:

Theatre's, Engagements, Locations, Manpower, Organisation, History etc. ( especially on 1st July 1916 )

Many thanks

You could always try the Lancashire County Museum in Preston (one of the best, in my experience), which houses displays for the QLR (East, South and Loyal Lancs Regts - though the main museum/archives for these are in nearby Fulwood Barracks), the 14th/20th Hussars, the Duke of Lancasters Own Yeomanry and the Lancashire Hussars. I can't remember the exact address, but it's next door to the prison and you can't miss it.

If you want the address, send me a PM, and I'll find it.

Dave.
