Staffsyeoman Posted 8 July , 2003 Share Posted 8 July , 2003 Just wondering if anyone had come across T/2/Lt Esau Edwards in their travels? Collating my MGC H&A database - which is so close to completion! - I discover that Esau Edwards ended the war as: Military Cross & Bar, Distinguished Conduct Medal, Military Medal. His details: 7401 EDWARDS E SJT MM 26-Apr-17 7401 EDWARDS E SJT DCM 18-Jul-17 EDWARDS ESAU T/2/LT MC 24-Sep-18 EDWARDS ESAU T/2/LT BAR TO MC 08-Mar-19 According to the London Gazette, his Bar was awarded serving with 8 Bn MGC. I've got his citations, where published, but if anyone has any further ideas on him, I'd be very glad to hear from you. Certainly a prospect for writing up on the main page. Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 9 July , 2003 Share Posted 9 July , 2003 Phil, Have you pulled his jacket? I had a pair to an MGC soldier whose number was close and he was ex Durham LI as were the men around him on the roll. Never worked out the Coy though.
