Remembered Today:

Narrow gauge railway and locomotive

I am asking this on behalf of a contact (English). He intends to visit the Somme area end of July.

His problem : locating ...

"... a site on the Somme where a French farmer has reconstructed a stretch of narrow gauge railway. A team called the 'Salvage Squad' restored a First World War Simplex locomotive, and transported it out to run on the track. If you know the exact location ..."

Who knows where this location is ?

Hi Geoff and Tom,

I don't know the speed of the locomotive, but your reply sure was (even) fast(er) !

Thanks. I will forward the information right away.
