KILTY Posted 7 July , 2003 Share Posted 7 July , 2003 A question I've asked on numerous occasions, what does the "S" prefix stand for on Scottish soldiers regimental number, e.g. - S/10332. I know it seems obvious but I've heard quite a few different definitions. Please forgive my affinity to the Tartan Regiments. Michael Posted 7 July , 2003 Share Posted 7 July , 2003 The info I have is that it was used as a prefix for wartime enlisted highland regiments Don't apologise for your interest in that fine body of men. Michael
