Two medal mysteries

Hello,

I have two "medals" that are a bit of a mystery! One has a town crest in the middle and YPRES written underneath. This is surrounded by a blue and gold circle, and at the top of the circle is a gold crown.

The second "badge" is in the shape of a small bullet (or possibly representing a shell casing) with an even smaller Belgian flag on the front. It has a clasp on the back.

Any thoughts would be appreciated,

Charlton
