Andrew Hesketh Posted 6 July , 2003 Share Posted 6 July , 2003 Could anyone suggest units known by the abbreviation POWYLI and SBR that I've seen on a Parish Roll of Honour? My guess is that someone has assumed Prince of Wales Yorkshire Light Infantry rather than King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, so it's probably just a misprint, but I'd be happy to be corrected.
