drummer Posted 8 June , 2005 Posted 8 June , 2005 Here in the US, there are several periodicals devoted to the American Civil War… battles, soldier life, personalities and the like. As you can imagine, they can give quite the detailed view of the conflict and the times. There seems to be enough advertising around the theme to support the publication as they have been in existence for a number of years. I was wondering if there are similar magazines devoted to the Great War in the UK and what the names of them might be. Thanks in advance, Drummer
paul guthrie Posted 8 June , 2005 Posted 8 June , 2005 Well for starters Stand To! is the best WW1 publication in the world, the journal of the Western Front Association which also publishes WFA Bulletin, mostly news about WFA
Dikke Bertha Posted 9 June , 2005 Posted 9 June , 2005 Hello The French have a great magazine called "14-18 magazine" which is an excellent publication but you have to be able to speak French! I confess I have to have a dictionary beside me in order to struggle through. In fact the French have some truly excellent military magazines. Regards
