kaisersoffensive Posted 7 June , 2005 Share Posted 7 June , 2005 As an absolute newcomer to this site I am both amazed and impressed by the wealth of knowledge that is available. The sense of dedication and commitment that the names and memories of the serving soldier of WW1 is not lost. With this in mind I appeal for some help with the following. I have proudly in my modest collection to the Royal Inniskilling Fusilliers a DCM to 10375 Sjt. R. J. Boyd 1st Bn won in an attack near Ledeghem on the 14th October 1918 and for subsequent action on the night 19th/20th.I have a copy of the citation accompanying the award and reference in the "Skins" Regimental History by Sir Frank Fox shows he was entitled to a Belgium decoration, namely Ordre De Leopold II. Avec Croix De Guerre. Sadly I know nothing else about the man. He fortunately survived the War but are anyone of you readers in posession of additional information which I can add to his record. Thanking you in anticipation.
