Reference number on a MIC - help ?

Does anyone know what the following references mean on three Medal Index Cards ?

NW/5/24601,

NW/6/24703

and

NW/9/2754.

One card is to a man who was killed when the Germans shelled Hartlipool in 1914, the other two in the Dublin uprising of 1916. The two 'Dublin' men were officers but their cards do not refer to medals issued. The other man had a single British War Medal.

Cheers,

Duncan.

Yes,

One has the date 25/3/22 and the other 4/4/22 - the Dublin ones.

The Hartlepool one does not have thi sdate but a reference E/76101/3.

Cheers,

Duncan.

Guest Ian Bowbrick

I believe these refer to the date of the despatch of campaign medals.

If anyone knows any better, I would be interested.

Hi,

It's a bit of a mystery, as they served ony in Irelend and the UK, not abroad, and were not entitled to any medals !

Cheers.
