Remembered Today:

Campo 92

I have just seen a most beautifully made metal letter opener. Unfortunately don't have access so can't scan it.

One side of the blade is inscribed 'Campo 92' and the other side bears the letters 'S.P.Q.R'

Have found some references to POW camps like ' Campo 54' which was in Italy so would like some suggestions as to whether this might be another one.

Not sure, either, if it is WW1 or WW2.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
