Sgt_Hazell_Great_Grandson Posted 21 May , 2005 Share Posted 21 May , 2005 With the value of Victoria Crosses soaring year by year would it be right to sell if one was lucky enough to own one.Assuming it had been won by a relative , left to you and not having to be sold to split the proceeds between family members. For the record i do not own one ! Roland.
John_Hartley Posted 21 May , 2005 Share Posted 21 May , 2005 I'd have no moral problem with flogging it off if I needed the money for something else. J

Guest Posted 22 May , 2005 Share Posted 22 May , 2005 Well, family history, with associated artifacts, is important to some people and not to others. There is no right or wrong answer other than what your inner voice is saying to you. Personally, I would sell, but give the regimental museum first refusal (at the market price).
