Yorkshire Regt. 2nd Battalion

I am researching Pvte Percy NIxon, 204972, of the above Regt. and Battalion who was killed on 16/06/1918. He is buried in Noeux-Les-Mines Communal Cemetery Extension along with 2 mates killed on the same day. Where was his Battalion located on that day and what were they doing at that location?

Any info gratefully received

Bill

Bill,

Best I can find from Green Howards in the Great War is that the 2nd battalion were close to Hulloch near Loos in June 1918, an area where they had fought in September 1915.

Bob.
