can anyone point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for information on :

Ruth E. WASS who served in the Q.A.I.N.S. from 07/12/16 to 24/10/17.

Her M.I.C. says she came from CANADA and served in MALTA.

After her service she then married and became Mrs R.E. CAVE.

presuming she is Canadian, is there anywhere on the net I can find information.

Thank's for any help.

Hi Koyli:

I checked the Canadian National Archive site for WWI nurses and chaplains and she's not listed. So, you can rule out her being in the Canadian nursing service prior to December 7, 1916. Also searched a couple of Canadian nursing databases and couldn't find a Ruth Wass listed.

You may want to contact Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps Museum at:

QUARANC Regimental HQ.

Army Medical Services Training Group

Keogh Barracks

Ash Vale, Aldershot, Hampshire

GU12 5RQ

Phone: (01252) 340294

Fax: (01252) 340224

Thanks for posting this message. I know more about the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Nursing Service than I did 90 minutes ago.

Ruth Wass has a file at the PRO in WO399/8732 - must be worth a look.
