GWF1967 Posted 29 November Posted 29 November "Orgiano - Italy Jan. 1919. B.Coy Officers + Sergeants 8th Batt Devonshire Regt." There are 3 Military Medal ribbons on show, an officer with a Military Cross ribbon, and an unknown ribbon on the right. One officer appears to be badged to 1st (Royal) Dragoons?, another to the Wiltshire Regt.? Can anyone point me to a War Diary for 8th Devonshires in Italy, the only one I can find ends November 1917.
charlie962 Posted 30 November Posted 30 November (edited) It's under WO95 4225 but the Italy diaries are not yet digitised? And I cannot give you link as it is playing up at NA. Nice photo Edit, here is NA link: https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C4557377 Edited 30 November by charlie962

I bought a copy of the card online and another identical copy appeared for sale within a day or two. Unfortunately the second card was damaged in the post.
Admin Michelle Young Posted 30 November Admin Posted 30 November Certainly looks like Wiltshire Regiment to me.

deutscherinfanteriest Posted 30 November Posted 30 November Surely Italian sources cannot help... nearly all Regimental histories end in November 1918. Then from the 1° to 94° Reggimento Fanteria were regular Army, the others were disbanded because they were created in 1915-17
