A Soldier of the Great War

guards cemetery, Windy Corner, France.  Plot 6, Row D, Grave 25 

back in 2022, I submitted to the CWGC as the the GRRF and burial Return shows that the above soldier is 5720 Private Worcestershire Regiment.  On the report shows it was a damaged disc ‘Name Unknown’ 

the only soldier, that could be is 5720 Private Alfred Wall, 2nd Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment who was killed in Action on the 15th May 1915.  
 

where the soldier was found and details found in Private Wall service records put in the area where the unknown. 
 

both the GRRF and burial return both show the rank of Private and the Regiment being Worcestershire but no rank or regiment is showing on the headstone
