Pte Alexander High, 31622, 16 HLI: died Julich 23 July 1917. What did he die of, please?

Pte Alexander High, 31622, 16 Highland Ligh Infantry died, a prisoner of war died at Julich (discussed in an earlier thread) of disease on 23 July 1917. According to the local newspaper reports he had been ill for some time. I can work out where and when he was captured, but my virtually non existent German does not extend to what he died of.

Would someone please translate what appears on the ICRC records for me?
