Isn't that likely to be King's birthday honours - so potentially no specific citation, just a general "good chap who goes repeatedly above and beyond" award.

I suspected as much, but didn't work back to the front page of the issue to confirm. :)

He was first commissioned as a temporary 2nd Lieutenant on 16 January 1915 with the Royal Field Artillery.
