Tawhiri Posted 28 May , 2024 Posted 28 May , 2024 His name appears in the Gazette of 4 June 1917 in a long list of officers who were awarded the MC, but no sign of a accompanying citation. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/30111/supplement/5479

I suspected as much, but didn't work back to the front page of the issue to confirm. He was first commissioned as a temporary 2nd Lieutenant on 16 January 1915 with the Royal Field Artillery. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/29044/page/610
