SommeStag Posted 23 May , 2024 Posted 23 May , 2024 Hi, I am trying to locate the War Diary for the 1/8th King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment on the 6th July 1918 and the few days before. It is in reference to 2nd Lieutenant Harry Hyman Jacobs who was attached to the 1/8th from the 1/6th and was KIA and who is now buried in Chocques Military Cemetery. Thank you for any help.
Allan1892 Posted 23 May , 2024 Posted 23 May , 2024 The war diaries can be downloaded free of charge from the National Archives after registering with them - also free of charge, no card details required. Image of war diary for the 6th July 1918 courtesy of the National Archives
