'R' Section RE Sound Ranging query

I am researching a relative Sapper Thomas Rowland Talbot of sound ranging 'R Section' RE, who died 28 October 1918 just south of Le Cateau (possibly part of Battle of Selle). Does anyone have any info on this section, its activities leading up to this date, or what larger unit it was a part of -  (i.e. what artillery unit it was sound ranging for) at this very late stage of the war?

R Section belonged to 5 Field Survey Company. They have a war diary at the National Archives which can be  downloaded free once you have registered. R Section does have some entries. https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_q=5+field+survey++AND++WO95
