My grandfather was William Fredrick Rogerson and was Sidney’s eldest son. Sidney married the Princess d Orleans of the château de Perrifonds in which the family still own the château to this day. Sidney had 18 children and William Fredrick Rogerson escaped the Germans beginning of the Second World War. Sidney died in Crawley Road in Luton as he lived with William Fredrick and Bertha Rogerson. Bertha was pregnant with Vera and she was not my grandfather daughter but he brought her up as one of his own. Brian John Rogerson was my dad and was William Fredrick Rogerson eldest son.

No soldier called Rogerson was awarded the VC during the Great War. Perhaps you meant the Military Cross?
