HERITAGE PLUS Posted 14 November , 2023 Share Posted 14 November , 2023 (edited) The Army List India 1919 will indicate which Mechanised Transport Units of the RASC, the M in his service number indicating that he served in such a unit, were stationed in the area of Trimulgherry, Deccan. Have you tried the Coventry Newspapers for a death announcement/obituary? Edited 14 November , 2023 by HERITAGE PLUS
MaureenE Posted 14 November , 2023 Share Posted 14 November , 2023 His record is on FindmyPast, under the name Teal. If you are signed in, the link to an image of the record is https://search.findmypast.co.uk/record?id=BL%2FBIND%2F005138087%2F00120&parentid=BL%2FBIND%2FD%2F486101 He died of Cholera. There was another death from Cholera the same day. There is no additional information about his unit, above what you already know. However on the same Church register page, there is a death from No. 3 Coy 8th Res [presumably Reserve] Battn, and a death "Attached 8th Res Battn". These however did not include the other cholera death.
