Only recently noticed details for C Rake, who asked for a letter to be forwarded for my great uncle who was a Prisoner of War.

Wonder if he was also a prisoner of war?

Yes!

His surname is actually RAKE -- a very quick search of his service record shows that he was a POW in Germany then Switzerland before being repatriated, (image courtesy of Canadian Archives)

I think that you have to ask the moderator by clicking on to the three dots (top right of your post) - it opens up a window entitled 'Report Post' -- select the first option then in the message box just ask for the name in the title of the post to be changed to Rake.
