I have recently been given two photos of my Great Granduncle- Herbert Edward Wheeler. I am told he was a member of the machinegun corps, but have yet to identify him on Ancestry etc. He survived the war and died in 1969.

From the picture I believe this to be a Guards Machinegun Corps badge rather than a straight MGC badge. Is that correct?

Thank you in advance
