Snowyred Posted 18 March , 2023 Posted 18 March , 2023 Henry James White (69818) born Pewsey, Wilshire Joined The Royal Artillery 8th Dec 1888 Can anyone find anything on paper so to speak on Henry in the way of Records/medical/mic. I believe there may be something in the WO 97 documents but for some reason I'm having issues accessing them Thank you
Admin Michelle Young Posted 18 March , 2023 Admin Posted 18 March , 2023 If he joined in 1888, would he still be serving at the time of the Great War?
Snowyred Posted 18 March , 2023 Author Posted 18 March , 2023 Possibly, that's what I'm trying to establish
Allan1892 Posted 18 March , 2023 Posted 18 March , 2023 There is a surviving service record for him on Find My Past (link below) He attested on the 8 December 1888. He is described as being 18 years 1 month of age; he was 5 feet 7.5 inches tall with a fresh complexion; grey eyes and brown hair. His religion was Church of England. I have attached his attestation form and his military history (courtesy of Find My Past) I can not find any evidence that he served in WW1 British Army Service Records 1760-1915 Image | findmypast.co.uk
