Somme: Camps / huts on Carnoy - Montauban Road

Does anyone have a map / images of the camps on the Carnoy - Montauban Road, please? It seems that there were plenty of these camps - my regiment rotate to-and-from 'Camp No. 22' in December 1916.

Thanks.

I just had a look at a lot of maps on TrenchMapper but could not see any that showed camps.

Put Carnoy in the Advanced Search and it will take you there.

In case you missed this page, there is mention of Camp 22 on that road.

Thanks Howard. That's helpful. I've yet to find any photos or map references, and yet the whole of that area seems to have been populated with camps.

It might help if you could point to some documentation that describes the area being populated with camps.

Thanks Howard. I'm tracking the movement of 10th battalion West Yorks and there are references to 'Camp 22' on the 'Carnoy-Montauban' road in the relevant unit diaries from Oct 1916+. The 17th Divisional History suggests that the camp was developed by the Division Pioneers, but I can't see support for this in their diary.
