Identity of soldier

Greetings all,

I have recently discovered a photograph of a family member/relative who served in the Great War. After contacting family members to discover his identity my efforts were in vain. I was referred by a friend to post the photograph on here in any hopes of potentially identifying him. The information I have thus far is;

-He was a member of the First Australian Imperial Force

-More than likely served with the Second Battalion, AIF

The photograph is attached below:

Not much to go on there. He is wearing a bandolier so could be a driver or artilleryman. Looks like he is wearing a rain cape too.

What makes you say he was likely serving with 2nd Battalion AIF?

Scott

Sorry to tell you but that is Fred bishop off battlefield 1 (video game)

the mission is “The Runner”

To my knowledge he wasn’t real, but that picture certainly isn’t…
