oldrag71 Posted 28 January Share Posted 28 January (edited) Hello everyone again, I recently purchased this M1902/M1912? style visor. I've never seen one and just thought it was cool. The orange stripes are sewn on. The CAO insignia is a screw back and appears to be original to the hat. Inside of the hat has "J.W.T" and "16. On the otherside of the interior hat band is "Gun Co. 197" and "Company E." Looking for any info on the hat; what the CAO means, the orange stripes, the gun number 197 and Company E? Approximate year. Thanks again to everyone for looking. Luke Edited 28 January by oldrag71

It is the 'Cadet Program', which was the precursor to the ROTC which wasn't created until 1916-1917, of the Oregon Agricultural College. If you look very carefully on the visor cap in the second image it is the same. Hope that is of assistance Gunner.
