do we know what insignia they would have worn on their sleeves ?

especially the 1/5 the buffs east Kent regiment

Hello Peter

It was more likely that the 1/5th wore a patch on the Wolsley helmet rather than a patch on the uniform.

I have seen photos of  members the Regt wearing a couple of different types

1 A regimental badge on the front of the pagri.

2 A rectangle split vertically buff/blue worn on the left of the pagri.
