leigh Posted 28 November , 2022 Share Posted 28 November , 2022 Hi all, I finally have a home office and am putting together a wall of pictures of my collection/research from Cuinchy and the brickstacks. I would like to put up a trench map from 1915. I have found hi res maps from teh McMaster collection but these are from 1917 and the front had moved enough to not show the trenches of interest to me. I would like either a full map or cuinchy/auchy map that is a good res for printing and includes the 'Mountain Keep' as seen below bottom left.. Can anyone help? I cant even find where I go this image from as a wider view would work.
WhiteStarLine Posted 28 November , 2022 Share Posted 28 November , 2022 Leigh, TrenchMapper has 10 maps dated 1915 of which 3 have detailed German and British trenches. I didn't see the word "Mountain Keep" on any map before June 1916 but this is coming from a small sample size. Courtesy The Western Front Association and the Imperial War Museums. PM for a wider extract.
