Alan Bentley Posted 24 November , 2022 Share Posted 24 November , 2022 (edited) Henry Struben was born in Cape Town in August 1898. He qualified as an RFC pilot in January 1918 and was shot down in France later that year and was captured, and later was an exchange POW. In June 1921 he was flying Sopwith Snipes with 25 Squadron RAF at Hawkinge in Kent. On the 24th of June 1921 his aircraft E6156 crashed and he was killed. A picture in my father's album shows the crash and also on the same page two pictures of a Snipe E7562 and its pilot with two other RAF personnel. Does this picture have any relevance to the story of F/O Struben? Help please. Edited 25 November , 2022 by Alan Bentley

George Rayner Posted 24 November , 2022 Share Posted 24 November , 2022 Thanks Alan. I can't find anything I'm afraid-but potentially if it is 1921 then it's outside the remit of this forum Could you post the photographs? George
