Romagne1918 Posted 19 November , 2022 Share Posted 19 November , 2022 I am trying to identify the ship (in the middle) that is indicated on this Canadian torpedoman's record of service. Can anyone assist?
RNCVR Posted 19 November , 2022 Share Posted 19 November , 2022 HMCS Niobe. Depending upon when he was on her would reveal if she was still sea going or relegated to Depot ship status.

Romagne1918 Posted 19 November , 2022 Author Share Posted 19 November , 2022 (edited) His record (appears to be WWII) states that he saw 9 mos at sea but all of the ships listed appear to be possibly shore-based facilities during WWII: Cornwallis, Stadacona, Peregrine, Niobe, Shelburne and Queen. He has a torpedoman's rating on his uniform and was granted the Atlantic Star and clasp. He went in in Dec. 1943. Bit of a mystery. His name was Joseph Edward Robinson.
