Apart from the University Officer Training Corps  the Inns of Court were the only officer producing unit when war was declared in 1914.  When Kitchener advertised for 2,000 officers the CO Lt Col Errington was informed  that the Inns of Court had been 'overlooked".  By 1915 they were turning out over 800 officers a week.

Once commissioned they would wear the badges of the Regiment into which they were commissioned.

Also does anyone have a photo showing INNS of COURT badges being worn for use in my next book?
