Annette Burgoyne Posted 18 June , 2003 Share Posted 18 June , 2003 Hi All Not sure if this is the right place to post this ? While looking for something in the 1st K.S.L.I. War Diary, I came across this little snipet of information that may be of interest to anyone interested in the 1st Loyal North Lancs. The following three men of this Battalion. were buried by the 1st K.S.L.I., 25 yards east of the edge of Quarry at M.27.c.05.65. near Fresnoy-le-Petit on the 20/9/19, all three were killed on the 18th Sept. 1918. Pte. 15820 Flitcroft, Frederick Pte. 33195 White, Peter George Pte. 35953 Dyball, James Henry They could not have been discovered after the war, as they are all on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial. I used to live near several quarries and know how ground soon disappears, I was just wandering if the ground where these lads were buried is still there and if it is still there, then the three lads may just still be there ?
