Reorganization of the 9th Battalion, A.I.F

Hello!

My soldier was in 'E' Company, 9th Battalion, an original of that Company as a matter of fact. I am trying to figure out what Company he went to following the reorganization of the A.I.F in January 1915. [3rd] Brigade and 9th Battalion war diary doesn't reveal anything.

Any help appreciated,
Zidane.

Just now, Andrew P said:

The 9th Battalion history, 'From Anzac to the Hindenburg Line' states that 'E' and 'G' Companies formed the new 'C' Company.

Thanks mate!
Incidentally, does it mention Private George Robey? He was involved in capturing a hill near Gaba Tepe on April 25th.. a recommendation reads
"On April 25th during operations near KABA[sic] TEPE:-"For distinguished courage and initiative in returning from the firing line under heavy fire, collecting reinforcements and assisting in leading a successful bayonet charge to the top of the hill, which was eventually held against great odds"
I am writing up a biography on him in a blog.

Looks to be three references for him.

Page 56 states, 'Earlier in the day, shortly after the landing, Private G Robey swam out to a boat under heavy fire and brought back into safety a wounded comrade, it's only occupant.'

Page 74 states G Robey was one of a party with Wilder-Neligan on May 28th to raid a Turkish position known as Twin Trenches.

Page 78 states that on 3rd June L/Cpl Kenyon and Pte Robey were awarded the DCM.

Cheers
