alex revell Posted 29 September , 2022 Share Posted 29 September , 2022 Hello all, Can anyone find the service record of this officer, please. He is given in the Officers' Reporting book of 56 Squadron as joining the squadron on 14 Feb 1917 then discharged to hospital on 3 June 1917. He did not fly to France with the sqdn on 7 April 1917 and there is no mention in the Sqdn Record Book of his as having flown any patrols before discharged to hospital and struck off strength. I have been told that he was Argentinian, but have no confirmation of that. Any help would be appreciated.

alex revell Posted 29 September , 2022 Author Share Posted 29 September , 2022 Steve, Thanks for that. But as they say that there is no guarantee that the record they have is the same man, and as one can't have a brief view to confirm that, I've no wish to lay out the £3.50 fee :-) Regards Alex
alf mcm Posted 29 September , 2022 Share Posted 29 September , 2022 Alex, The record is free once you register. Regards, Alf McM

MikeW Posted 29 September , 2022 Share Posted 29 September , 2022 Alex, Steve is quite correct, Air 76 and ADM273 and other digitised records (at the very least) have been free since lockdown started in 2020, as long as you register with the NA and don't abuse the system.
