I have his date of birth 26.2.1885

He served in the Roya Field l Artillery 1915

Anything that pertains to him is greatly appreciated

Not immediately apparent in Medal Rolls etc. but I have found a Lt HGT at TNAhttps://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C1092770. This may be him. Could we have more details? Where did you get your information? Date of death? Family members?

Acknown

Addition: Allan beat me to it. My information is the same as his. We still need more detail.

Thompson or Thomson?

Addition: I'm not sure that officers had pay books. Perhaps someone can confirm.

Medal rolls entry for a 2nd Lt H G Thompson -- possibly him? (image courtesy of Ancestry)

Previously Royal Horse Artillery service number 35333 - if it is him should be reflected in the paybook. Unfortunately contact details on the back of the MiC are (1) Larkhill - February 1917 and (2) Aldershot  - October 1919, both taken from Rolls received from the relevant O.C.. No mention of Ipswich.

Cheers,
Peter

Looks like Sgt 35333 Thompsom is out of the frame. Think the only war forward is to obtain his service papers from the NA

Comment cancelled in light of post by Acknown -- it does look like we have found the right man.
