I have a photo album that contains these images of women building aircraft at Hewlett & Blondeau's Omnia Works at Leagrave, near Luton. Managed my Mrs Hilda Hewlett a well know aviator of the time. She figures prominently in this selection.

Student in the school, an enemy aircraft identification poster can be seen on the wall. The lady holds what appears to be a large tap and tap wrench for cutting threads in holes.
